The first of four kittens arrived at 9.30pm on Sunday 7th August with the last one making an appearance at 11.30pm. For her first litter we were amazed at how quickly she had them with kittens coming every 10-15 minutes after the first one. Her very first kitten was born breach and had to be helped into the world but mum soon took over once it was born. Cassie insisted on lying on the bed (with a thick old towel beneath her) and wanted lots of stroking as she gave birth, which is the total opposite of Sophie who is a lady who likes her privacy at such times. The kittens and mum are doing well.


This photo was taken in the early afternoon of Sunday 7/08/05 as Cassie started the first signs of labour. We couldn't move for her !		Photo taken 10.30am Monday 8/08/05. Cassie and family now safely installed in their basket.
Taken 15th August. The kittens are now one week old and already their eyes are opening. They have more than doubled their birth weight so all is going well.		Photos at 2 Weeks 22/08/05
